Proudly servicing over 3000 subscribers in Camrose

WEEKLY Pickup since 2002

Notices---Nov. 22---A large block of ice under the snow broke a front wheel of the recycle truck. We are using a smaller vehicle and truck for now, and waiting for a new electric truck to be delivered to us.

October, see our NEW FreebieDoorstep Service below. We are now accepting car/truck tires for Special Pick up only.

Sept 2019, The City's recycle depot is rejecting Plastics and glass with caps/lids left on, with the exception of milks, yogurt drinks, juices, spirits, and sodas. Please remove lids and recycle/reuse when possible.

Loose tin lids, single use paper coffee/soda cups, and Tetra Paks or cartons which contained anything other than juices or milks in them are rejected by the depot. This stuff will be left behind in your Bluebox when you forget, so you know. Go to How It Works below for more detail. The good news is King SSS will be accepting these items soon for PaperPlasticWood products, and we will let you know at that time.

We are still looking for an ADVANCED horse and rider volunteer, for someCamrose routes. Please contact us at 780-608-5723.

Solar panels are now available at cost, direct from factories for subscribers as part of the PRP and King SSS has also started making PaperPlasticWood using your recycling.

NOW OFFERING TO ANY CAMROSE RESIDENTS FREE PICKUP of cordless and AC appliances that have ELECTRIC motors AND any eCycle stuff (electronic things)

Aug. 15, 2018, The local Camrose Depot stopped taking #3 & #7 plastics in addition to #4 & #6. Avoid purchasing goods packaged with this material, or leave the packaging at the store. Paper pet food bags are no longer accepted at the recycle depot and we are investigating alternatives. If anything is left behind in your Bluebox, it has garbage and MUST be EMPTIED before your next pick-up.

A plan for collecting Styrofoam is in the works and will be added to our recycle list.

Curbside Recycling is also accepting reflective foil film (foil balloons, large foil snack bags)

Important: Let us know if you are not completely satisfied with service for any reason

PAY-PER-PICKUP---discontinued due to dumb idea.

Everyone take appropriate measures so your stuff doesn't blow away!

The BLUEBOX is for heavier items and must be in plain view so the driver knows where to stop. 25 LBS. is the maximum single weight of a box/bag. When you have an unusual load of stuff, add one more box or contact us for your free Special pickup.

1. Old Newspapers/Flyers (paper with serrated edges) - in a plastic bag because if it gets wet, it has no value. (See Paper Definitions below)

 2. Magazines (Glossy & Shiny) - go in the bottom loose (see Paper Definitions below)

3.-Clear Glass or Large Colored Glass Bottles (lids gone, pane glass please reuse)

-4. Any Electronics/Batteries (use a plastic bag) unless they are big things like car batteries.

-5. Flattened Cardboard only (1 square meter maximum size) if you have too much for the Bluebox, bundle them/use another box/call us to request a Bulkbag for your Special Pickup. When left loose on the ground, cardboard will blow away.

For Regular Service, the following items are to be separated in bags knotted shut. Rinse all your containers, and toss out the caps and lids.

1.- DVDs, CDs, and Ink Cartridges in a plastic bag

2.- Plastic bags go into a plastic bag tied shut (no bags with zippers, hard plastics or metal)

do not mix Plastic Bags with Hard Plastics

3.-Office Paper in an envelope/plastic/reusable bag (see Paper Definitions)

4.-Mixed Paper in a paper/plastic/reusable bag (see Paper Definitions)

5.-Food cans go into a bag. (for cardboard body tins, separate the tin from the cardboard or they are garbage. All loose metal lids are a problem for the Depot. Trap them inside a can or discard).

7.- All drink containers (empties) go into a plastic bag and can go into your hard plastics bag (every kind of empty including Boost, milk, Juices etc.) for added weight

8.- Hard plastics--Plastics must have #1,2,3,5, or 7 in the recycle symbol on it (usually on the bottom). These now go into a large translucent/transparent garbage bag.

Watch for #4 & #6 plastics - lids, Styrofoam, and some mini yogurts because they are all garbage.

Notes: Shredded Paper goes into a separate plastic bag knotted closed.

-Clothing Donations for Centracam's Emergency Clothing & Furniture Depot (E.C.F.D.) goes into a translucent/transparent plastic bag and please call us for large donations

If you have 3 or less of a small item, wait till you have more to fill a plastic/reusable bag. Please, contact us @ 780-608-5723 if you’re unsure!!!

Always let us know ASAP if the Bluebox goes missing. We are committed to providing you with the highest level of customer satisfaction possible, so please let us know if you have any questions or concerns, we'd love to hear from you.

Please remember, if your recycling is not picked up on your regular day, you may have been missed. If it is still there at noon the following day, call us ASAP, so we can make the pickup.
